In October 2020, during the height of the pandemic, the idea for KittyPot was sparked by a simple family conversation.
My Dad and Uncle were reminiscing about organising a kitty for a bike tour, while my Mum and Auntie were talking about how quickly contactless payments were replacing cash.
That’s when a question stood out: How do we manage shared expenses in a world without cash?
As the idea took shape, I began noticing the same problem everywhere, nights out, holidays with friends, stag dos, housemates splitting bills. Group money was still awkward, messy, and often unfair.
There had to be a better way.
KittyPot was built to remove the friction from group spending — making it simple, transparent, and stress-free for everyone involved.
