In October 2020, during the height of the pandemic, the idea for Kitty Pot was sparked by a casual family conversation. My Dad and Uncle were reminiscing about organising a kitty for their bike tour, while my Mum and Auntie discussed the rise of contactless payments as cash became increasingly obsolete.

That’s when it hit me: How can we manage shared expenses in a cashless world?

As the idea took root, I began to notice how often shared expenses turned into a hassle, whether it was a stag do, a night out, or a holiday with friends. Surely, there’s a better way to handle this, I thought.

And that’s how Kitty Pot was born, making group payments simple, fair, and stress-free for everyone.
